This woman's triathlon is definitely a great one for people of all levels of experience. This race is perfect for woman competing in their first triathlon ever but its also great for strong competitors, that are looking to challenge other woman on the course, and yeah, there are some crazy fast people that compete. I have done this race once before and I loved it. There are tons of people cheering you on through the course and Heidi the race director will crack you up with her commentary as she announces you through the finish line. The swim part of the race takes place on the beach, but be prepared to run on the sand when you get out of the water and for the "stairs of death" that you have to climb to reach the bike transition! After that, the race is smooth sailing! I plan on competing again with my two sisters and mom for the next one coming up in September! Hope to see you ladies there!

   

I did the 7 miles! The first 3-4 miles of the races is uphill and I about died! But hey, what goes up must come down. The rest of the race was downhill and it is pretty steep! With the race being help in November, the trails can get pretty muddy and I lost my footing a couple of times due to the trail conditions, but that's what you get for a trail running event and I wasn't the only one. I saw a lot of people fall and totally just wipe out! It was so worth it! But for a precaution, just watch your footing, because the trail is filled with rocks and tree roots. It's a very beautiful run, with amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge and of the ocean. I would definitely do it again! My mom did the 25k and shared the same experiences. I definitely think my favorite thing about the event, was the photographers hiding throughout the race taking pictures of you on these crazy turning trails. Tons of food when you get to the finish line! I totally recommend it!!
