Strawberry Fields Forever  5/4/09

I'm not much of a biker, but my whole family wanted to do this race together, so I had to do it. And luckily, 25 miles flew right on by because it's casual and fun and the scenery is awesome. The best rest stop is at Gizdich Ranch, where they serve you ice cold lemonade and apple juice, and yummy snacks. This race was awesome!

The Core Run Swim Run  3/9/09

I loved this race! I was a little skeptical about the running on the sand part, but once you get tired of running, you take a swim in the ocean, which is my favorite part! At the end you are treated to an awesome breakfast feast and you receive a shirt that has the course outlined on it, and all the famous beaches you swam through! Make sure you're a good swimmer in order to do this race!

Bay to Breakers  3/3/09

Naked men and women, tiki bars on wheels, flying tortillas, and keg stands in the middle of the road. This might sound like Mardi Gras, or even the Castro... but no, it's a lovely "running" race we like to call the Bay to Breakers. I have taken breaks from running the race because it's overly crowded and there are naked men... of all ages. The best part, in my opinion, is the finish because there is a concert to be enjoyed by everyone. It is definitely a race everyone has to try, just so they can believe it when they see it. Make sure you have nothing planned for the rest of the day because the race and "after party" take FOREVER! And don't be shocked by the unpleasant surprise of paying $5.00 for a slice of pizza.

RCP Tiburon Mile Open Water Swim  3/3/09

This race is awesome! I've done it twice, and let's just say, that's not enough for me. Right after I finish, I start talking about what next year is going to be like! This race isn't for the faint of heart, but for the strong. This race requires NO FEAR at the beginning, because everybody starts at the same time. The food after is INCREDIBLE.

Mermaid Triathlon Santa Cruz  3/3/09

The Mermaid Triathlon is a perfect "1st-timer" race for women of all ages. From the moment you get there to the moment that you leave, everyone is having the time of their lives. Throughout the whole race you don't hear a single complaint, but instead, plenty of encouragements to stick it out and keep on going. I'd recommend any women to this race. No matter if this is your 1st race or your 100th, every woman is treated with respect.
